Agustina Supriyani Kardono a.k.a. Yani Kardono graduated in 1984 from the Catholic University of Parahyangan and received a master degree from University of Gadjah Mada. Ms. Kardono is a specialist in Indonesian energy and natural resources, infrastructure and environmental laws.
Ms. Kardono was a guest speaker at a number of conferences and seminars on investment in infrastructure and the mining industry in Indonesia. She is a co-author of the Indonesia chapter in Getting the Deal Through-Mining (Global Competition Review) and the author of the Report-Indonesia and Viewpoint on mining laws (Oxford Business Group). Ms. Kardono counselled sponsors of an IPP, which project proposal received the first award from the first Indonesian Clean Energy Investors Forum, and developed a hydro power plant in Lubuk Gadang, West Sumatra.
Ms. Kardono is a member of the Board of Advisors of The Nature Conservancy-Indonesia Program, and as an Indonesian advocate, she is admitted to Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia (Indonesian Bar Association) (PERADI), licensed as a Capital Market Legal Consultant, and accredited as a mediator of the Indonesian Mediation Centre. He was also an in-house counsel and Shari’a compliance manager for a Shari’a Business Unit of an international bank in which he was actively contributed in the development of Islamic banking products and structures in Indonesia, including assets, liabilities, off-balance sheets products, bilateral and syndicated transactions as well as corporate and government sukuk issuance.
